The Lake Belton Lady Broncos faced a tough challenge on the road against the Chaparral Lady Bobcats on January 31, ultimately falling 66-47. Despite their efforts, the Lady Broncos struggled to keep pace with Chaparral’s offensive firepower, particularly in the fourth quarter when they were outscored 23-11.

Leading the way for Lake Belton was Alexa King and Natalie Maldonado, who both scored 17 points. King shot 7-18 from the field, adding two three-pointers and five rebounds, while Maldonado went 6-12, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc. Ariella Polley contributed with four points, five rebounds, and two assists, while Layla King added two points and three offensive rebounds.

Defensively, the Lady Broncos had a few bright spots, with Amara Sanchez recording two steals and two blocks, and Alexa King forcing three deflections and grabbing a steal.

Now holding a 5-4 record in district play, Lake Belton will look to bounce back at home against University High School on February 4. The upcoming game will be their last home game of the season and is designated as a "White Out" event, where fans are encouraged to wear white and fill the stands with energy. The night will also include a special recognition for North Belton Middle School.

As the Lady Broncos push toward the end of the season, they will aim to make the necessary adjustments and finish strong in district play. Fans are encouraged to come out and show their support as the team fights for a victory
