On Friday February 7th, 2025, the girls track team travelled to Killeen to compete in the Killeen Relays. This was a relays only meet with 100 hurdles, shot put, and discus.

Varsity girls finished 2nd overall with 72 points. Starting us off in the 100 hurdles CoCo Camacho finished 3rd, Alexa Harbour 4th, and Jaycie Sheard 5th. Our 4x800 consisting of Lucy Loa, Jenna Benedick, Shreya Muni, and Sarah Gray finished 3rd. The Sprint Medley Relay (200,200,400,800) with Bella Garcia, Aleya Russell, Nylah Berrian and Chelsie Miller placed 1st. Distance Medley Relay (1200, 400, 800, 1600) with Lucy Loa, Moriah Rydberg, Jenna Benedick, and Sarah Gray placed 3rd. 4x400 with Chelsie Miller, Aleya Russell, Bella Garcia, and Nylah Berrian finished strong in 2nd place.

JV girls finished 2nd overall as well with 86 points. In the 100 hurdles Emmi Lloyd and Rayne Cory finished 1st and 2nd. The 4x800 with Paisley Gallion, Madelyn Rivas, Camryn Mikulas, and Susan Martinez placed 2nd. Our Sprint Medley Relay with Gabby Hamilton, Ty’anah Debose, Paisley Gallion, and Izzy Dixon placed 2nd. 4x200 with Gabby Hamilton, Ty’anah Debose, Eliana Arevalo, Camryn Mikulas placed 5th. The Distance Medley Relay with Claire Henn, Izzy Dixon, Paisley Gallion, and Madelyn Rivas placed 1st. The 4x400 with Izzy Dixon, Susan Martinez, Madelyn Rivas, and Camryn Mikulas placed 4th. Shot put Isalei Simpson placed 4th.

This was an early season meet that showed high potential for what is to come this season. I am excited to watch the girls continue to grow and improve throughout the season.
