The JV Silver squad put on a commanding performance Tuesday night, shutting out Ellison JV with a dominant 5-0 victory.
The team set the tone early, controlling possession and applying pressure from the start. Jacob Johnson broke the deadlock with a well-placed shot, giving Silver a 1-0 lead. Shortly before halftime, Jacob Boone found the back of the net, sending the team into the break with a solid 2-0 advantage.
Silver kept their foot on the gas in the second half. Emmanuel Herrera extended the lead with a sharp finish, followed by Boone’s second goal of the night. Alex Zamora capped off the offensive showcase with a strike of his own, sealing the 5-0 win.
Defensively, the squad remained locked in, with goalkeeper Andres Gamio delivering a standout moment late in the game—a crucial penalty kick save that preserved the shutout.
With momentum on their side, JV Silver now turns its attention to their next challenge, a Friday night matchup against Waco High School at Bronco Field on February 14.
