On Thursday March 20th the Lake Belton Broncos matched up against the defending state champions Midlothian Panthers. The Broncos came out with energy and intensity in a back and forth game. The Broncos challenged the Panthers many times in the first half, but the Panthers scored one goal leaving the score 1-0 at halftime. Midlothian capitalized quickly in the beginning of the second half making it 3-0 in favor of the Panthers. The Broncos fought hard making it a very competitive game until the final whistle. The Broncos earned a playoff spot for the third time in their five year history of being open. Even though the result was not what Bronco Nation wanted, it was a very successful season. The Broncos are looking to hit the offseason with a running start and plan on having another great season next year.
