Lake Belton JV Red Dominates Second Half to Defeat Lexington 42-12
The Lake Belton JV Red Broncos overcame a slow start to storm past the Lexington Eagles 42-12 on Thursday night.
The Broncos struck first in the opening quarter when Keaton Rudolph connected with Isiah Alexander for a touchdown, followed by a Diego Garcia extra point. Lexington responded quickly, scoring twice in the first quarter to take a 12-6 lead. Neither team found the end zone in the second quarter, leaving the halftime score 12-6 in favor of Lexington.
Lake Belton flipped the momentum in the second half. Adler Alezy powered into the end zone for a rushing touchdown, with Garcia adding the PAT to give the Broncos the lead. Talley Beard and Marley Martin added rushing scores of their own, each followed by Garcia’s reliable extra points. Christian Johnson sealed the game with a fumble return for a touchdown, capped once again by Garcia’s kick.
The Bronco defense stood tall, forcing turnovers with interceptions by Nathan Teschner and Charles Woolfolk. Lucas Antuna and Stephen Ernst also made key defensive plays to keep Lexington off the board in the second half.
The victory improves Lake Belton JV Red’s record and highlights the team’s resilience, outscoring Lexington 36-0 after halftime.
