This morning the Lake Belton Cross Country Teams competed in their last meet before the District Meet. The varsity girls captured the team championship and were led by Keira Dzenowski, (2nd place), Jenna Benedick (7th place), and Sarah Gray (9th place). Additionally, Keira broke the school record with a time of 19:48. The varsity boys were led by junior Wyatt Potts (13th place), Drew Houston (29th place), and Josiah Briggs (38th place). Wyatt tied the school record with a time of 17:23. The Lady Broncos also won the team championship in the JV race. They were led by Claire Henn (1st place), Susan Antunez Martinez (2nd place), and Alyse Newby (3rd place). The JV boys finished a close 2nd behind Chaparral and were led by Efren Romero Meza (5th place), Santana Herrera (7th place), and Jakob Arevalo (9th place). The Broncos will travel to the Waco HOT Soccer Complex next Wednesday for the District Meet. Way to go, Lake Belton!
