The Lake Belton JV Silver Broncos battled their way to a hard-fought 26–24 victory over the Georgetown Eastview Patriots on Thursday evening, highlighted by big defensive plays and a clutch late-game score.
The tone was set early when defensive end Tito Street forced a fumble from Eastview on the Patriots’ opening drive. The Broncos’ offense immediately capitalized, punching the ball into the end zone for the first score of the night. On Eastview’s very next series, Street struck again, forcing another fumble to give Lake Belton prime field position and another opportunity to extend their lead.
From there, the game turned into a back-and-forth battle. The Patriots’ offense tested the Broncos’ defense throughout the night, but Lake Belton’s front held strong with timely stops to keep the game within reach.
In the closing minutes, with the score tight, Adrian Pippins delivered the decisive blow with a late touchdown run that gave the Broncos the lead for good. The defense stood tall in the final possessions, shutting down Eastview’s comeback hopes and sealing the 26–24 victory.
With their resilience, opportunistic defense, and playmakers stepping up in key moments, the JV Silver Broncos showcased their grit and determination in one of the season’s most thrilling finishes.
