The Lake Belton Freshmen Red football team continued their strong season with a dominant 22-0 shutout victory over Leander Glenn High School. The Broncos came out firing on both sides of the ball, setting the tone early and never looking back.
Lake Belton opened the game with an impressive drive capped off by a rushing touchdown from Jackson Perez, putting the Broncos on the board first. The defense quickly made their presence felt, as Logan Beck recovered a fumble in the end zone for a defensive touchdown, extending the lead and energizing the sideline.
In the second half, the Broncos’ offense put together a long, methodical drive that was finished off by Davis Wren, who powered his way into the end zone for another rushing touchdown to seal the game.
The defense was lights-out all night, flying to the ball and forcing turnovers. Titan Tuggle capped off the strong defensive performance with a late-game interception, securing the shutout victory.
With the 22-0 win, Lake Belton Freshmen Red continues to showcase their balance on offense and defense as they look ahead to the next matchup.
