The Lake Belton Freshman Silver squad left everything on the field in their season finale, showing grit and resilience in a tough 24–6 loss to the Georgetown Eagles on Thursday night. From opening kickoff to the final whistle, the Broncos continued to fight, showcasing the growth and determination that has defined their year.
Lake Belton’s lone touchdown came through the air, as wide receiver Jacob Sullivan hauled in a great pass in the back of the end zone for the Broncos’ score. The offense created several promising opportunities throughout the game, but the Eagles were able to capitalize on key moments to keep control.
Defensively, the Broncos had multiple standouts flying to the football, battling in the trenches, and making life difficult for Georgetown’s offense. Despite the setbacks, the effort and commitment remained strong from start to finish.
While the scoreboard didn’t fall in Lake Belton’s favor, the heart and progress shown this season tells the real story. These young Broncos have laid a strong foundation and built a brotherhood that will only continue to grow.
Congratulations on a good season, Broncos! The future is bright.
