Lake Belton JV Red Clinches District Championship with 24-0 Win Over Leander
The Lake Belton JV Red Broncos capped off their season in dominant fashion, defeating Leander 24-0 to secure the district championship. The Broncos opened the scoring with a Diego Garcia field goal, followed by a touchdown run from Talley Beard and Garcia’s extra point to make it 10-0 after the first quarter. The score remained 10-0 at halftime.
Beard struck again to open the second half with another touchdown run, and Garcia added his second PAT of the night. Quarterback Keaton Rudolph connected with Shon Miller for the final touchdown, with Garcia converting his third PAT to complete the 24-0 shutout.
Defensively, the Broncos were outstanding, with key contributions from Prince Kabuya and Chason Heisterberg. Jonah Frobish snagged an interception, while Colten Bulls, Liam Roberts-Burroughs, and Nathan Teschner all recorded crucial pass breakups.
Lake Belton finishes the season as district champions with a 7-3 record, closing an impressive campaign with a statement win.
