Lake Belton JV captured the championship at the Waco High Sub-Varsity Tournament with an impressive showing against a competitive field that included Crawford, Bosqueville, Temple, La Vega, and University. From the opening tip to the final buzzer, Lake Belton set the tone with high energy, disciplined execution, and a commitment to team basketball, establishing themselves as the most complete team in the tournament.

The tournament opened with a dominant 52–8 victory over Bosqueville, as Lake Belton controlled the game on both ends of the floor. Ayaana Omisola led the scoring effort with 13 points, consistently attacking the basket and finishing strong. Cheyann Oglesby knocked down two three-pointers on her way to 7 points, while Zoey Johnson also contributed 7 points with strong perimeter play. A’Brielle Harrison provided a physical presence inside, grabbing multiple rebounds and adding 2 points. Lake Belton’s relentless defensive pressure forced turnovers and limited Bosqueville’s scoring opportunities throughout the game.

Lake Belton carried that momentum into game two, earning a convincing 47–16 win over Crawford. Ansley Dwyer led all scorers with 16 points, showcasing her ability to score at all three levels. Ayaana Omisola added 10 points, and Jordan Carter chipped in 7 points. The team’s defense once again stood out, holding Crawford to single-digit scoring in each quarter through active hands, strong help defense, and disciplined rotations. Lake Belton also controlled the tempo of the game, using depth and ball movement to wear down their opponent.

In the championship game, Lake Belton completed their tournament run with a 44–24 victory over Temple. The title-clinching win featured a total team effort, highlighted by five made three-pointers, dominant rebounding, and balanced scoring across the lineup. Ayaana Omisola led the way with 20 points, setting the tone offensively, while Bailey Schorn added 8 points with timely baskets. Ja'Niah Ford and Jordan Carter each contributed 5 points, providing key plays on both ends of the floor. Strong defensive stops and unselfish play sealed the win as Lake Belton celebrated a well-earned tournament championship.
