Wrestlers, Parents, and Guardians,

First, I want to thank everyone for their patience with the constantly changing schedule. We were able to make it through the week and had a great showing at the district tournament.

Congratulations to all of our district placers. We will be sending seven athletes to the Regional Tournament next week in Dallas. Let’s stay focused this week and be ready to compete as we push toward advancing to state.

Practice will be from 4:45–6:00 PM, Monday through Wednesday. These practices are required only for Regional Qualifiers and Alternates. All wrestlers are still welcome to attend, but time and space will be focused on those competing at Regionals. Thursday’s practice will be at 1:00 PM in the big gym and is for Regional wrestlers only.

The Regional Tournament will be held at Ellis Field House in Dallas (9191 S. Polk St., Dallas, TX 75232). We will depart from school at 2:30 PM on Thursday, February 5, and will stay in the Dallas area Thursday and Friday nights. A detailed itinerary—including dismissal times for Thursday and the tournament schedule for Friday and Saturday—will be posted later this week.

Unfortunately, the JV District Tournament has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. We made several attempts to move dates and locations, but due to scheduling conflicts and time constraints, we were unable to make the tournament happen.

Equipment turn-in will begin next week. Wrestlers will need to return all issued wrestling gear (practice shirt and shorts, sweats, headgear, backpack, etc.). Any missing items will result in the athlete being placed on the school fine list. More details on time and location will be posted next week.

Another change from last week involves team pictures. We are currently working to find an available date in the next few weeks that does not conflict with spring activities. More information will be shared as soon as it is confirmed.
