The Lake Belton High School girls powerlifting team closed out its regular season in dominant fashion, earning a team championship and showcasing depth and determination across every weight class. In an impressive performance, every athlete who competed brought home a medal, highlighting the team’s consistency and competitive strength.
Leading the way were Jaya Lisenbe and Moriah Rydberg, who were named top overall lifters in their respective weight classes. Their outstanding performances helped anchor the team’s success and demonstrated their readiness as the postseason approaches.
Several athletes claimed first-place finishes in their weight classes, including Catalina Esquivel, Moriah Rydberg, Nani Rubio, Aralina Acosta, and Jaya Lisenbe. Each lifter delivered strong performances on the platform, contributing valuable points toward the team’s overall victory.
Lake Belton also saw strong finishes from Shekayla Munoz, Emyle Love, and Analicia Diaz, who each earned second place in their respective weight classes. Their efforts further strengthened the team’s standing and reflected the program’s depth across multiple divisions.
With the regular season now complete, the team’s focus shifts to the final opportunity to qualify for the regional meet. Several athletes will compete in a last chance meet scheduled for Thursday night in the Lake Belton High School weight room. Lifters will be aiming to reach qualifying totals and secure their spots at the regional powerlifting meet.
The team’s performance in the final regular season competition reflects the hard work and dedication shown throughout the year, as Lake Belton’s girls powerlifting program continues to establish itself as one of the area’s top contenders heading into postseason competition.
