Bronco Baseball at Round Rock Legends Recap

The Lake Belton Bronco Baseball team traveled to Round Rock ISD to participate in the Round Rock ISD Legends Baseball Tournament. Over three days and at 3 different sites, the Broncos managed to go 3-2 on the weekend to run their season record to 4-4-2.

Day 1 @ McNeil vs. Vista Ridge and McNeil
The Broncos split the day against Vista Ridge and McNeil. Lake defeated Vista Ridge by a score of 2-1 behind a sterling pitching performance from Landon Willey. Willey went the distance giving up 1 run on 8 hits and striking out 6. Braxtan Cope and DJ Lavallee provided the RBI's for the Broncos in the win.
In game 2 the Broncos couldn't manage to get the big hit and fell to McNeil 5-1. Colby Anthony struck out 7 in the loss.

Day 2 @ Round Rock vs. Round Rock and A&M Consolidated
Day 2 took the Broncos to Round Rock High School. Lake dropped game 1 against Round Rock 5-3. Zavian Rodriguez and Reese Rosenbaum provided the RBI's for the Bronco offense.

Game 2 of the day saw an exciting finish as the Broncos score a run in the bottom of the 7th to walk off the Consolidated Tigers by a score of 3-2. RJ Hunt had the game winning walk off single. Gavin Carpenter was sharp on the mound twirling a complete game 6 hitter, with 0 earned runs and 4 strikeouts.

Day 3 @ Stony Point vs. Stony Point
The Broncos finished the tournament at Stony Point against the host Tigers and the last game saw a shutout by the Bronco pitching staff. Braxtan Cope and RJ Hunt combined for a 2 hit shutout and they struck out 10. Jonathan Russell had 2 RBI's, Logan Winkler had 2 RBI's and RJ Hunt led the offense with 2 hits and 3 RBI's.

The Broncos are now 4-4-2 on the season and will north to the Metroplex for the Drew Medford Memorial Tournament for the final tourney of the 2026 season.
