The Bronco Varsity Golf team pulled into a chilly Delaware Spring Golf Course ready to take on the challenging course and 28 high school golf teams. The Broncos were split into two four-man teams for this contest. The first team posted a score of 326, which put them in eighth place for the tournament. That first team was led by Senior Jackson Null who shot an excellent 75 which earned him 6th place honors in field of 148. Jackson was followed by fellow seniors Miles Parker and Gavin Kerr who turned in scorecards of 76, which put them in a tie for 8th place. The team was rounded out by junior Kaiden Beaty with a score of 99.
The second team was all Bronco freshmen, several of whom were competing in their first varsity tournament. The freshmen were led by Carter Johnson, who shot a very nice 85. Close behind Carter, Cole Russell posted a score of 92. Jackson Dolotina needed 98 swings to finish the tournament, and Jacob Sullivan carded a 106 to complete the team score of 381.
These golfers will next play at the B.I.S.D. invitational at Stonetree Golf Course in Killeen on March 26th.
