Our varsity tennis squad split a action-packed Saturday doubleheader, showcasing depth and grit as the team moved to an impressive 9-3 overall record on the season.
Morning Dominance vs. East View (W 15-4)
The day opened with a statement victory over East View, where our lineup fired on all cylinders from the opening serve. Doubles play set the tempo early, securing five big wins to put momentum firmly on our side:

Singles victories were turned in by Sara Stephens, Abigale Harris, Alyssa Naumann, Sonia Padmanabhan, Addie Kruppa, Ethan Muehlstein, Andrew Williams, Reid Ramirez, Quint Mackenzie, Ben Johnson, and Eli Stewart.
Adding to the dominant morning performance, Asher Hansgen, Emma Richens, and Addie Malone all picked up victories in extra match play to cap off a fantastic team effort.

Afternoon Test vs. Georgetown (L 2-17)
The afternoon presented a tough challenge against a strong Georgetown squad. Operating with a short-handed lineup due to missing key starters, the team battled hard through every set.
Reid Ramirez delivered a spectacular individual performance on the day, featuring in both of the team's match victories against Georgetown. Ramirez paired with Ben Johnson to claim a hard-fought doubles win before following up with a standout victory in his singles match.

Looking Ahead: District Play in Bryan
While the afternoon score line was tough, a 15-4 win and a 9-3 overall record give the team plenty of positive momentum heading into the most crucial part of the schedule. The team travels to Bryan this Tuesday to launch district competition.
