The Lake Belton Lady Broncos gave fans an early look at what they can expect this season as they competed in the She’s Just Different Showcase at the Westlake Athletic Community Center on September 12.

Lake Belton finished the showcase 1-1, displaying strong defensive effort, transition offense, and plenty of potential heading into the upcoming season.

In their opening matchup, the Lady Broncos faced Wylie East and fell 38-28 in a competitive contest. Alexa King and Olivia Dann led the way offensively, each contributing 8 points.

The Lady Broncos responded in a big way in their second game against Vandegrift, earning a convincing 40-25 victory. Dann led Lake Belton with 13 points, while King added 12 points. Gemma Pierce also provided a spark with several timely three-point plays that helped the Lady Broncos build momentum.

Beyond the final scores, the showcase provided a preview of what could make this Lady Broncos team dangerous this season. Lake Belton showed its ability to create problems on the defensive end, force the tempo, and turn defensive stops into scoring opportunities in transition.

With King and Dann providing consistent offensive production and contributions coming from throughout the lineup, the Lady Broncos showed they have several pieces capable of making an impact as the season approaches.

The Lady Broncos will return to action for their next showcase on October 26 at the Round Rock Sports Center, where they will compete in the CenTex I-35 High School Showdown.

The first showcase offered just a glimpse, but one thing was clear: the Lady Broncos are getting ready for the season ahead.
