The Lake Belton Freshman Broncos battled the Salado Eagles in a competitive matchup.

The Broncos came out battling in the first set, but Salado was able to pull away late and take the opening set 25–16. Lake Belton responded with a much stronger showing in the second set, refusing to let the Eagles run away with the match.

The second set turned into a back-and-forth battle, with the Broncos pushing Salado all the way to the wire before falling 26–24. Despite the loss, Lake Belton showed tremendous fight, competing for every point and making the Eagles earn the win.

London Jackson was a force throughout the match, making her presence felt on both sides of the net. At the net, she created problems for Salado with multiple blocks, altering Salado attacks all while also putting down countless balls on the offensive end.

The Broncos may not have gotten the result they wanted, but their fight in the second set showed the toughness and determination this young Lake Belton squad continues to build. The Broncos now look ahead to their district match up this Friday September 18th against the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs.
