The Lake Belton volleyball team traveled across town to face Temple High on Tuesday night in front of a packed, high-energy Wildcat crowd.

Despite the electric atmosphere, the Broncos struggled to build momentum in the opening set. Serve-receive trouble and a relentless Wildcat defense allowed Temple to take control early, closing out the first set 25-12.

Lake Belton found its footing in the second set, battling back-and-forth before ultimately falling just short, 25-21. Facing a must-win third set to keep the match alive, the Broncos surged out to an early lead. However, Temple rallied to break the Broncos' rhythm. A late Lake Belton comeback effort fell just shy, with the Wildcats taking the final set 25-23 to complete the sweep.
