The Lake Belton Freshman Red volleyball team earned a hard-fought two-set victory over Temple, 25–15 and 25–21, but the second set was anything but easy.

The Broncos came out with energy in the opening set, taking control early and cruising to a 25–15 win. Temple responded in the second set, however, building an 18–11 lead and putting Lake Belton in a difficult position.

Instead of folding, the Broncos turned up the intensity.

Kailee Morrison and Karina Carranza provided tremendous hustle throughout the match, going out of rotation to keep multiple balls in play and giving Lake Belton extra opportunities to extend rallies. Their effort helped keep the Broncos connected and fighting for every point.

At the net, Aubrie Judd continued to attack aggressively, taking confident swings and refusing to let a miscue slow her down. She continued to put pressure on Temple and stayed aggressive every time the ball came her way.

With Lake Belton trailing in the second set, Maddie Ortiz stepped up from the service line, putting together a string of serves that helped spark the Broncos' comeback. The momentum quickly shifted, and Lake Belton chipped away at Temple's lead before taking control late.

The Broncos completed the comeback with a 25–21 second-set victory, finishing off the two-set sweep.

It was a complete team effort built on hustle, confidence, resilience, and the willingness to keep fighting when things weren't going their way. Freshman Red showed that when they stay together and continue competing, they can overcome adversity and find a way to finish.
