The LBHS boys’ varsity silver golf team hit the road at 5:00 am to compete in the San Marcos Winter Invitational at Double J Golf Course in Wimberly. The early departure in no way affected their play as the boys cruised to their fourth consecutive victory of the season. The Broncos accomplished this by shooting a combined score of 312, a full 30 strokes better than the second place team. The Broncos were led by sophomore Miles Parker who turned in outstanding 74, which was also good for first place for the tournament as well. Miles was followed by Senior Mason Euer whose score of 76 was a personal best in tournament play and also earned him third place overall for the event. Sophomore Jackson Null finished third on the team posting a great score of 80, playing his third round of tournament golf in three days. Also playing his third round of golf in as many days, Senior James Bond turned in a very nice 82. Junior Nick Brooks could not catch a break and rounded out the team shooting a 104. The boys are excited to start the spring semester with a tournament at Cottonwood Creek on February 23rd and 24th.
