Last night the Lake Belton Broncos took on the Killeen Kangaroos at Bronco Field. The game started off quickly with opportunities for both teams. With ten minutes left in the first half Branson Greger found the back of the net for the Broncos making the score 1-0 at half time. The Kangaroos came out with intensity in the second half looking for the tying goal. The Bronco defense was led by Hector Herrera. The Broncos were able to withstand the initial surge and turn up the offense towards the end of the game solidifying their first district win of the season. The Lake Belton boys now have 3 points and our right in the middle of the playoff push in district. Our next game is against the Belton Tigers on Friday at Bronco Field.
