Lady Bronco Silver played in the Hutto Invitational at Star Ranch on Wednesday, February 21. It was a good tournament with some tough teams that regularly compete for State Championships. The weather was much warmer than the previous round, but the golfers still had to contend with blustery conditions.
Silver Team finished 6th overall and shot a 382. The team also played the 13th hole, a 408 yard par 5, at one under par.
Freshman Carly Marshall played a great round of golf, hitting an incredible 17 of 18 greens in regulation. It was a round that included two birdies and a near eagle. She finished with a one under par 70 and another individual win. She also set a new record low round for Lady Bronco Golf.
Junior Riley Clawson had the second best round for the Silver Team. She shot a 101 and just missed the first eagle of career. She had two pars on her round.
Junior Kat Moore continues to improve for the Silver Team. She shot a 105 and also had two pars on the day.
Senior Shelby Chaney rounded out the scoring for Lady Bronco Silver, that only played with four players this week, to preserve tournaments for other members. Chaney shot a 106. She had three pars on the day.
Silver Team will be off next week. Red and Bronco Teams will be playing in the Bastrop Tournament at ColoVista on Wednesday, February 28. Silver Team will play in the Regional Preview at Margaritaville in Conroe on March 5.
