For the 3rd straight year, the National Football Foundation (NFF) has recognized the Lake Belton High School Football team for Academic Excellence. The Broncos were chosen as a 2023 State Finalist after being named State Champion in 2022.

The Bronco football team posted a cumulative GPA of 3.67, held an eligibility rate of 100%, and landed 65% of the team in the A/B Honor Roll. Additionally, 44 members of the team qualified as Academic All-District with 14 Seniors being recognized as Academic All-State.

This off-field success was matched by an 8-3 record on the field that saw school records for offensive yards & points per game and defensive tackles for loss, sacks, and 3rd down efficiency. The Broncos will continue to strive for excellence in the classroom, as well as on the the field.
