The Lake Belton HS Cross Country Team traveled to Lion's Park in Temple to compete in their first meet of the season. Many of the runners improved their times significantly from last year's race on the same course. The varsity boys were led by junior Nick Dasilva and finished 7th out of 15 teams. The varsity girls were led by freshman Lucy Loa and finished 4th out of 14 teams. Led by senior Neil Dayawansa, the JV boys finished 4th out of 15 teams. The JV girls' were led by junior Isabela Romero Meza and placed 5th out of 15 teams. The following runners medaled for the Broncos: Neil Dayawansa (5th place - JV Boys), Demarcus Miller (14th place - JV Boys), Isabela Romero Meza (13th place - JV Girls), and Catalina Esquivel (18th place - JV Girls). The Bronco's next meet in on Friday at Vista Ridge. Way to go Lake Belton!
