The Lake Belton Broncos Freshman Silver team bounced back impressively after last week's loss, securing a decisive 40-14 victory over McNeil. The Broncos set the tone early, with Tristan Aldridge dominating the first half by scoring three touchdowns. Aldridge's initial score came on a 5-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter. He then showcased his defensive prowess by returning two fumble recoveries for touchdowns, with the fumbles caused by defensive teammates Easton Robertson and Brysen Blair. The Broncos also saw a 12 yard TD run from Wesley Bradley in the first half of play.
The Bronco defense was formidable, shutting out the Mavericks in the first half. In the second half, the Broncos extended their lead with two more offensive touchdowns. Tanner Oliveira caught an 18-yard TD pass from quarterback Jessiah James, and late in the fourth quarter, QB Justyce Hendricks connected with Luke Phillips for a 38-yard touchdown pass, securing the final score of the game.
