The Freshman Red Broncos Football team continue their impressive run with a commanding 35-14 victory over the Killeen Kangaroos on Wednesday night. The Broncos delivered a solid performance on both sides of the ball, dominating from the opening whistle to the final play.
The Broncos offense got off to a fast start, scoring on their opening drive behind the legs of Brooks Johnson, Marley Martin and capping the drive off with Keaton Rudolphs rushing touchdown. Wide Receiver Riley Kristinek played a pivotal role catching two touchdown passes in crucial situations during the game. Marley Martin also added to the scoreboard with a 15 yard touchdown run that grew the lead to 14 in the second half.
The Kangaroos managed to put up a fight in the first half with two touchdowns of their own. However, the Broncos responded with a punt return for a touchdown to silence the home crowd. The Bronco defense remained steadfast, allowing no further points. The Bronco defense continues to impress and improve throughout the season playing with heart and intensity that drives the team as a whole.
The Victory against the Killeen Kangaroos marks another milestone for the Broncos, who improve to 3-0 on the season.
