The Lake Belton Junior Varsity Red football team faced off against the East View Patriots on the road, with Captains Luke Cowan and Deandre Griffith showcasing exemplary leadership skills. The game began with a strong defensive performance, making it difficult for the Patriots to advance the ball. Notable tackles for losses were made by Jeffery Gonzales, Sebastian Dolcines, AJ Peters, and Peyton Parcus. Following a Broncos punt, a fumble was recovered by Jamari Haye, setting up the offense for a successful drive that resulted in the first score of the night, a pass from Ke’odderick Mayo to Jack Maybee. Despite a missed point after attempt, the Broncos maintained their momentum.
The Broncos defense continued to battle as the Patriots managed to score twice before halftime. However, a key interception by Ji’yson Sherman, returned for a touchdown, shifted the momentum back in favor of the Broncos. The team rallied in the second half, with a forced fumble by Deandre Griffith with the recovered by Keagan Hedrick
A strong 2nd half  offensive performance led by quarterbacks Jayden Dent and Ke’odderick Mayo. Jack Maybee led the run game, while Ezekiel Smith, Kaleb Firmin, Joshua Torres, and Austin Dodd made pivotal catches. Ke’odderick Mayo added a rushing touchdown, and the defense contributed with big sacks from Cohen Beaird, Blake Baty, and Peyton Parcus. 
The Broncos sealed the victory with a touchdown pass to receiver Richard Groves, resulting in a final score of 32-12. The team will return home for their next district game, showcasing a complete team effort in their impressive win.
