Lake Belton JV Silver Shuts Out Georgetown East View 28-0, Extends Record to 2-0 in District
Lake Belton’s JV Silver football team continued their impressive season with a dominant 28-0 victory over Georgetown East View, improving their district record to 2-0 and 4-1 overall.
The first score of the game came from a powerful 1-yard touchdown run by Gavin Carpenter, with Kaden Ortiz securing the extra point, giving Lake Belton a 7-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, quarterback Reese Rosenbaum connected with Logan Winkler for a touchdown pass, extending the lead. Ortiz, once again, added the extra point.
The momentum shifted further when Cooper Arnold made a game-changing 93-yard interception return for a touchdown, followed by another flawless extra point from Ortiz.
The defense continued to shine with Jayden Haye adding an interception, and Logan Winkler capped off the night with a touchdown run, with Ortiz converting yet another PAT.
The 28-0 shutout victory showcased Lake Belton’s strength on both sides of the ball, with solid performances from key players like Carpenter, Rosenbaum, Winkler, and Arnold.
With this win, the JV Silver team remains undefeated in district play and looks to carry their momentum into the rest of the season.
