Thursday night was a challenging outing for the Freshman Red Broncos as they faced off against Glenn High School, failing 44-7 in a lopsided contest. From the opening quarter, Glenn's offense came out with high energy, capitalizing on key plays to take control early in the game.
The Broncos' defense struggled to contain Glenns running attack, which set the tone for much of the night. Several long drives from the Grizzlies resulted in touchdowns.
Offensively, the Broncos found it difficult to gain momentum against a disciplined defense. Despite efforts to generate movement in the passing game, the Broncos were able to find some success on the ground which opened up a touchdown pass from Brooks Johnson to Riley Kristinek in the first half.
The loss was a tough learning experience for the Freshman group who showed resilience but were ultimately overpowered. As the team regroups, they will look forward to their next game against Leander. With several games left on the season, the Freshman Red Broncos are now 5-1 and 2-1 in district play.
The Broncos will aim to bounce back stronger than before using this defeat as a stepping stone for growth as they navigate the remainder of the season.
