The Lake Belton Junior Varsity Red football team faced off against the Leander Lions at Bronco Field. Captains Joseph Casmus and Austin Dodd watched as Leander won the toss and chose to receive the ball. The defense set the tone early, making it difficult for Leander to gain yardage. Standout performances included tackle for losses by Joseph Casmus, Peyton Parcus, Brendan Nash, Blake Baty, and Keagan Hedrick. Kaleb Leza also made a critical fumble recovery in Bronco territory. In the second half, Jamari Haye intercepted the ball twice, giving the offense more opportunities. The offense displayed a strong grasp of the momentum throughout the game. Quarterback Ke’odderick Mayo led the team with both his running and passing abilities, scoring three touchdowns with runs of 50, 33, and 27 yards. Braiden Reich also made impactful plays in the passing game. The ground game featured multiple ball carriers, including Austin Dodd, Richard Groves, Ezekiel Smith, Kaleb Firmin, Joshua Torres, Aidan Butler, Corbin Diaz, and Richard Fleming.
There were large running lanes all night provided by offensive lineman. Jack Maybee added tough runs and scored from 22 yards out. Damian thong provided some shifty runs and scored from 46 yards out. Braiden Reich Provided the knockout blow with a run off the left end for a 26 yards touchdown. 
Hudson Jez had a perfect night with extra point tries, going 6 for 6. The Broncos secured their second consecutive shutout with a final score of 42-0. The team is now focused on extending their win streak as they prepare for their next road game.
