The Lake Belton Broncos secured a hard-fought 26-16 victory over the Brownwood Lions on home turf at Bronco Field. With a mix of sharp offense and tough defense, the Broncos dominated the scoreboard early and maintained their lead until the final whistle.
The Broncos struck first as Adler Alezy took the ball to the end zone for a touchdown, setting the tone with a 6-0 lead. However, Brownwood’s defense quickly responded by intercepting the Broncos' 2-point conversion pass and returning it, trimming the gap to 6-2.
Lake Belton continued to press offensively, and Layton Evans broke through for another touchdown, extending the Broncos' lead to 12-2 heading into halftime.
In the second half, Lake Belton's offense found momentum once more, as Alezy showcased his speed and skill on a long touchdown run. Konner Imhoff followed up with a successful 2-point conversion, further widening the gap on the scoreboard. Alezy then powered through the defense again, scoring on another lengthy run and bringing the Broncos to a commanding 26 points.

Lake Belton's defense was a force to be reckoned with, holding the Lions scoreless in the first half and preventing them from finding any rhythm throughout the game. The Broncos’ physical and disciplined play stopped Brownwood offensively, with Lake Belton defenders consistently breaking through the Lions' line.
Jonas Bowers led the charge with a standout performance, racking up 7 tackles, including 3 tackles for loss. Jameson Early followed suit with 5 tackles, while Trenton Carter made 4 crucial stops. Chason Heisterberg, Thanh Nguyen, and Jacob Bishop also contributed with 3 tackles each, helping keep the Lions in check at every turn.
The Broncos' aggressive approach paid off as they forced three fumbles, recovering two of them to stop promising drives and shift momentum back in their favor. The defensive line's tenacity prevented Brownwood from gaining any meaningful ground, allowing the Broncos to secure a much-needed win at home.
