This past week our Lake Belton Boys Soccer team travelled to Georgetown Texas to partake in the competitive Governor's Cup Tournament. The Lake soccer team competed against Manor New Tech, Austin Anderson, and Atascocita. Lake Belton did not come up with any individual wins however they grew as a team through the challenges and obstacles. Austin Robello scored the lone goal of the tournament, tallying his total goals for the year up to two. Lake fell to Manor New Tech 2-0, Austin Anderson 2-1, and Atascocita 4-0. All three of Lake's opponents were regionally or state ranked, as well as undefeated when the Broncos competed against them. The Broncos competed in all three games and look forward to traveling to the Central Texas Showcase next week in Waco.
