The Lake Belton JV Silver soccer team delivered an impressive performance Friday night, defeating Lampasas JV 4-2 in a match filled with exciting plays and standout moments. The victory showcased the team’s offensive firepower and defensive resilience, with contributions from multiple players.
The game got off to a fast start as Lake Belton took control early. Joshua Clark opened the scoring with a beautifully executed goal, assisted by Kaeden Alimbuyoa. Alimbuyoa’s pinpoint pass set Clark up for a composed finish past the Lampasas goalkeeper.
Not long after, Clark struck again. This time, he displayed his individual skill, breaking through the defense and finishing with an unassisted goal to double Lake Belton’s lead. The team carried a
2-0 advantage into halftime.
Lampasas JV came out of the half and scored 2 quick goals, knotting the game 2-2.
Late in the second half, newcomer Abdul Khan provided a spark in the Silver players with an unassisted goal, demonstrating 212 effort and precision to beat the Lampasas defense and the keeper.
Newcomer Cody Campbell then sealed the victory with another unassisted goal, capitalizing on a defensive misstep and coolly finishing to give Lake Belton a commanding 4-2 lead. The Lake Belton defense stood firm to secure the win.
The Lake Belton JV Silver team will look to build on this momentum in their next match against Chaparral High School next Friday.
