The Freshman Silvers closed out their season with a hard-fought game against Chaparral but ultimately fell just short, losing 43-41. Despite a slow start that saw them trailing by 15 points at the end of the first quarter, the Silvers displayed resilience and determination, mounting an impressive comeback that kept the game in question until the final buzzer.

Kenna Morrison led the charge for the Silvers, finishing with 11 points, while Jenna Slocum contributed 8 points in the effort. As the game progressed, the team found its rhythm, tightening up defensively and executing on offense to chip away at Chaparral’s lead.

By the fourth quarter, the Silvers had brought the game within striking distance, putting themselves in position to steal a win. However, despite their late-game heroics, Chaparral managed to hold on in the closing moments, securing the narrow two-point victory.

Though the loss stings, the Silvers can take pride in their fight and perseverance. Their ability to rally from an early deficit speaks to their growth throughout the season, and this experience will undoubtedly fuel their future success in the program.
